Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how the T1V App ("the App"), developed by Turn1Visuals, handles data when you use it. The App is a personal-use Electron desktop application for managing Formula 1 content and live streams.

1. Data We Do Not Collect

The T1V App does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to servers operated by Turn1Visuals. There are no analytics, telemetry, crash reports, or usage tracking of any kind built into the App.

2. Data Stored Locally

The App stores the following data locally on your device only, in the application data directory (%APPDATA%/t1v-app/ on Windows):

  • OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens for connected platforms (TikTok, YouTube, Twitch)
  • API client credentials entered in Settings (Client ID, Client Secret)
  • App configuration such as OBS settings, browser tabs, and launcher shortcuts
  • Stream setup fields (title, description, category) saved in browser localStorage

This data never leaves your device except when used directly to communicate with the respective platform APIs on your behalf.

3. Third-Party Platform Integrations

The App connects to the following third-party platforms using their official APIs. Each platform's own privacy policy applies to data processed on their side:

Authentication with these platforms is handled via OAuth 2.0. The App only requests the permissions necessary for its features (uploading videos, managing streams, sending chat messages).

4. OBS Integration

The App communicates with OBS Studio running locally on the same machine via the OBS WebSocket protocol. No OBS data is transmitted externally.

5. Webviews

The App displays webviews for platform dashboards (e.g. YouTube Studio, Twitch Stream Manager, Twitter/X Producer). These load external websites directly in the App using isolated browser sessions. The respective platform's privacy policies apply to these sessions.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 13. It does not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated when new features or integrations are added. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
